Q. Which signs are the best for walled conference rooms?

Our Sliding Door Signs are best for walled-in conference rooms. Because no one can see through the conference rooms with permanent walls, it is difficult to tell whether someone’s in or not. Our slider signs consist of two panels. The top panel moves back and forth from side to side to indicate whether the room is “Vacant” or “In-use”. Such signs are also ideal for frosted or tinted glass-walled conference rooms. These signs keep folks from accidentally walking into a meeting in progress.

Q. What is the material of designer conference room signs?

Different designer sign categories are made of different materials. Lettering on the designer signs is raised from the surface along with Grade II Braille.

Metro Signs and Deco Signs

The backplate is made of ?” tinted acrylic, and the top plate is also made of colored acrylic.

Santera Signs, Azteca Signs, and Optik Signs

The material is a mixture of plastic, resins, and groundstone which gives the look and texture of stone.

Pacific Signs

They are made with acrylic fiberglass material and wave design on top.

LeatherTex Signs

They’re made of reinforced fiberglass with a leather finish.

Apex Signs

The bottom layer is brushed metal, and the faceplate is handpainted on sandblasted acrylic.

Contour Signs

There is an acrylic layer with a frosted finish on top of a ?” wooden base.

Q. Are ClearBoss Conference Room Signs fragile?

No. Though they look like glass, our ClearBoss Conference Room Signs are actually made of acrylic. The 215 mil (0.22 inch) thick acrylic sheet is crystal clear like glass but much more durable than glass and shatter-resistant too. ClearBoss Signs are also resistant to abrasion and dents. An acrylic product can last for several years with minimum damage. The strength of acrylic plastic is due to its chain-like structure. Though chances are low, if an acrylic plastic sign does break, it does not shatter into a million small pieces like glass; but rather splits into large pieces.

Q. I need to add an arrow to my conference room sign. How to go about it?

While our stock signs come pre-printed, adding an arrow can be possible in our custom signs. To find a customizable sign on the page, just look for a custom flag on the top right corner of a design. While placing the order, you will find an instruction box “Special instruction for my order". Just leave the instruction of adding an arrow to your conference room sign and if possible, our team will send the proof to you for your approval. Q. How do Vacant/In Use Slider Signs compare with Vacant/In Use Double Sided Signs?

While both slider signs and double-sided signs help you display the current room status, the construction and use of both types of signs are different. Our slider signs are a little easier to use. Both the messages are on the same side and with the help of just one slide, you can change the message from “Vacant” to “In Use”.

On the other hand, a double-sided sign has “Vacant” printed on one side and “In-Use” printed on the other side. Reversible door signs just hang from the hooks of the two suction cups, included with your order (watch this video to know more). Since these signs hang loosely, there are chances of the signs getting stolen, unlike slider signs that are permanently mounted. However, reversible signs are ideal if you want to convey different messages to different audiences on either side of a glass surface.

Q. Do DiamondPlate Conference Room Signs have a better life than Select-a-Color Engraved Signs?

Yes. DiamondPlate Conference Room Signs are made of 20 mil thick aluminum that lasts for 20 years outdoors. The metal has been anodized, a chemical process that makes the metal diamond-hard. Tough, waterproof signs are supplied with 3M 468 adhesive meant for permanent application. Select-a-Color Engraved Signs come in two varieties - Indoor Engraved and Outdoor Engraved. Indoor engraved signs feature an acrylic layer on the top and stay brand new for at least 5 years if installed outdoors. Outdoor Engraved Signs have a textured surface and last 15 years outdoors.
